.NET End of Life Dates

The .NET platform, initially released as a successor to the .NET Framework, has been providing this functionality since its inception. However, developers should be aware that version 8 is approaching its end-of-life, scheduled for November 10, 2026. This means that after this date, version 8 will no longer receive updates or support, making it essential for developers to plan their migration to a newer version. The last end-of-life date was November 12, 2024, for version 6, which is no longer supported.

Given the .NET platform's extensive use, its security is a top priority. Fortunately, there are currently no known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) tracked for the .NET platform, indicating a strong security posture. With zero critical CVEs and no most affected version, developers can have confidence in the platform's ability to protect their applications.
