Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EOLCanary (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

EOLCanary tracks end-of-life dates and known vulnerabilities (CVEs) for software technologies, and sends email alerts when a technology in your monitored stack approaches end-of-life or is affected by a new CVE.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be able to lawfully enter into a contract to use the Service.

3. Plans

EOLCanary offers a free plan with limited projects and technologies. We may also offer paid plans with additional features (such as unlimited projects, additional alert channels, or higher limits). Pricing and feature details for any paid plan are presented before you subscribe, and may change with notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute data from the Service without permission.
  • Use the alert system to send spam or unsolicited communications to third parties.

5. Data accuracy disclaimer

End-of-life dates and CVE data are sourced from public, third-party sources (such as endoflife.date and the National Vulnerability Database) and are provided for informational purposes only. We do our best to keep this data accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee its completeness, accuracy or timeliness. EOLCanary should be one input among several in your security and maintenance planning — not the sole source of truth.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and alerts timely, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that every alert will be delivered (for example, due to email delivery issues outside our control). We recommend not relying solely on EOLCanary alerts for critical security decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EOLCanary and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including damages resulting from missed alerts, inaccurate data, or security incidents affecting technologies you monitor.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
